The Global Uplift Project promotes Effective Altruism by building small-scale, high-impact projects in the developing world. Its mission is to improve life changes through classrooms, medical clinics, water systems, science labs, playgrounds and other similar projects. TGUP completed 73 projects in 09 developing countries this year and has completed 276 such projects in 21 countries since its foundation. These projects' expected life spans may be as long as twenty-five years.
