The Omaha Symphony served its community with over 70 live concerts, offering a diverse range of classical and popular music, and increased its digital reach with a network television broadcast as well as added content at symphonyanywhere.com and the education-focused Virtual Classroom. The Omaha Symphony served more than 40,000 with in-person events, more than 125,000 through its digital initiatives, and another 27,000 through in-person education programming and the continuation of our Virtual Classroom.
Omaha Symphony education and community engagement programs serve more than 30,000 participants throughout the greater Omaha metro area, the state of Nebraska, and western Iowa. Deeply committed to its educational endeavors, in any given season 30-35% of the orchestra's services are dedicated to education, community engagement, and family concert experiences. The Omaha Symphony provides educational programs annually for students aged pre-K through high school. Adult education programs include pre-concert lectures and conducting seminars for music educators. During the pandemic, the orchestra developed a Virtual Classroom, engaging students in digital concerts, a learning library, and virtual visits.
