Program areas at Oklahoma City Boat Club
Founded in 1930, the Club was established to promote the sport of sailing. Located at lake hefner in Oklahoma City, the Club is a member of the u.s. Sailing association and the central states association and hosts regional meetings. The Club has specific programs to encourage women and youth to sail. Membership is not required for participating in youth events.
The Club also has an active social program. There are two major parties during the year--the annual banquet and splash day. In addition, there is at least one party or dinner at the Club each month. The parties range from catered dinners to cook-outs and covered dish dinners. The clubhouse is available for members to host events such as dance classes, sports-watching parties, birthdays, and weddings.
