Program areas at Ocotillo Foundation
General Poverty Relief: Fiscal sponsorship projects that provide basic needs for thousands of disadvantaged people. These programs include nutrition support, health care, and sanitation education. These populations continue to be some of the most economically fragile and depressed groups in the world. This also includes job skills training for women and computer skills education for all that help to offer long-term solutions instead of just short-terms support.
Basic Needs Support: Fiscal sponsorship programs that provide clean water wells and educational materials to rural, underserved populations. These funds were used in Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, & Bangladesh. There have also been teams that have been able to go and serve these people groups in training and support in these programs.
Child Sponsorship: Fiscal sponsorship projects that aid in providing funds that have helped in excess of 1500 children on a daily basis through child sponsorship. This includes providing access to basic healthcare, education, and basic sanitation as well as safe spaces for the children when not at home. The funds for this project continue to be used in India and Nepal and are targeted to relieve some of the deficiencies of these children living in some of the most underserved and under-resourced areas of the world
Other misc projects: Education and transportation support programs in India, Nepal, and Uganda have enabled us to help provide needed infrastructure and means by which educators can more easily access those facilities and students. These programs are designed to be replicable and scalable to grow the impact of the projects.
