Program areas at Oakland Childrens Fairyland

Park programs and Operations:The very first storybook theme park in America, Fairyland's main program is to provide families with young children a safe, creative place to play and learn. We serve more than 200,000 visitors annually. Children engage with our story-themed play sets, activate talking storybook boxes with the icnonic magic key, see puppet shows, observe our gentle animals, and climb, slide, run, and play.
The community outreach program focuses on increasing access to Fairyland and funding field trips and other programming for underserved schools and communities. In addition, our thriving children's theater program provides affordable performing arts education and opportunities for children 8 to 10 in our own Aesop's Playhouse. Children's Fairyland Summer Camp is committed to promoting children's imagination and social emotional skills. We offer exciting thematic sessions in a three-week period. Events at the Park include Puppet Shows, Bedtime Stories, Special Performances, Annual Events (which includes our popular Halloween Jam), and Summer Sleepovers. The facilities are available for catered birthdays and Park rentals. Guests can arrange exclusive use of the entire park for their Birthday, Wedding, or other special event.
Children's Theatre Program:Fairyland engages up to 30 enthusiastic children as part of its year-round Children's Theatre program. Fairyland personalities receive over 50 hours of performing arts training with professional artists and educators, and the program encourages children to portray characters from folklore and children's literature in stage productions at the Park, at community events, and during visits to senior centers and schools. The Park follows all county health protocols to ensure safety. Performances run July through October.
