Building what's next for Nursing; engaging, embracing and empowering for greater resilience & results took place on may 20, 2022 and presented national and regional innovations that were showing promise in moving the Nursing profession beyond the challenges of the covid pandemic, and on december 7, 2022 striving to thrive; reviving passion and purpose with a work life blend presented national and regional innovations that were showing promise in addressing the needs and preferences of new nurses entering the workforce. Also in 2022, the Nursing Consortium of Florida offered day in the life of a nurse, both as a one-day field trip experience for approximately 1,000 middle and high school students in miami dade, broward, and palm beach counties on the 17th of november, and as a month-long virtual experience, in which more than 5,000 middle and high school students participated, that featured curated and original video content, including some of which was interactive and designed for use by teachers and students in a classroom setting. The Nursing Consortium of Florida also continued the work initiated in 2021 of documenting factors that created a particularly acute nurse exodus during the covid pandemic, identifying specific strategies for addressing those factors and replenishing the Nursing workforce with a new generation of nurses, and identifying public sector and private philanthropy that could be helpful. Throughout the year, the Nursing Consortium of Florida administers a web based system for scheduling student nurse clinical experiences in southern Florida. More than 100 hospitals and Nursing schools used the centralized clinical placement system (ccps) in 2022.
