Swim New Orleans

Swim New Orleans (dba nu wave Swim club) is a member of united states swimming andlouisiana swimming, and through this means teaches the principles of swimming andsportsmanship to children. The primary service activity is the year round Swim team,which teaches competitive swimming to children ages 5 through 19. There areapproximately 140 members of the team, and the training sessions offered vary basedon the athlete's age and ability. The youngest athletes have 4 hour sessions per week. As the progress through the program, the number of training sessions per week increases so that eventually they will have the opportunity to train 6 days per week, comprised of 8 sessions of approximately 2 to 3 hours per session. The activity's objective is to develop the physical and mental capabilitiesof our athletes. We instill in our athletes an understanding of and appreciation for the concepts of high self-esteem, personal accountability, self-discipline, goalsetting, and goal achievement.our secondary services are providing Swim lesson instruction to swimmers of all ages and offering masters Swim training to individuals 18 years and older. Swim New Orleans is also a member of united states master swimming.

Swim New Orleans has miscellaneous swimming activities such as summer Swim team and masters swimming, through which we introduce young children to competitive swimming during the summer and through which adult swimmers are able to stay fit by swimming.

Swim New Orleans operates learn to Swim programs which includes beginner to adult Swim lessons and a stroke school program with the goal to introduce participants to water safety and proper Swim technique. Our learn to Swim programs vary from one month to several months in duration and offer thirty to forty five minutes of instruction multiple times per week.
