Program areas at Not So Common Players
The organization produced three musicals in 2023 in the town of clifton park and held seven performances of each production. Approximately 100 volunteers worked on the shows as performers and technical crew members. The shows were seen for free by thousands of audience members.
The organization held the Not So Common kids summer program during the year. The three-week camp for children between the ages of 8 and 15 introduces children to the many aspects of theater production and performance. The students were at the camp from monday to friday and learned about acting, singing, dance, costumes, make-up, props, sets, lighting, and sound. They also rehearsed and performed two shows.
