Northport Volunteer Fire Department Benevolent Fund Corporation

The nfd Benevolent Fund inc. is a not for profit Corporation incorporated under the laws of new york state. The purpose of the Fund is to collect, hold and dispense donations from persons and organizations in the Northport community to provide a death benefit for any and all members of the Northport Fire Department, village of Northport. Any one joining the Department is a member of the Fund. Funding is made through several forms: a once a year letter is sent to those living in the Fire district requesting a voluntary donation, the Department makes a once a year donation from proceeds of the fireman's fair, occasional unsolicited single donations are received throughout the year, interest from accounts held in Fund's name, all activities for fundraising are conducted within the Northport community.
