Program areas at Northeast Community Center

NECC s 2023 Community Engagement Program has three components 1 - NECC provides financial assistance for low income individuals and families in order to ensure that all community members have an opportunity to participate in programs and activities, without regard to ability to pay. In 2023, the NECC provided 75,947 in direct assistance. 2 - NECC partners with other community organizations to enhance service opportunities for both organizations. 3 - NECC provides space for other non-profit and community organizations, leveraging the utility of the NECCs unique facility.
The NECC offers a variety of sports, art, dance and enrichment classes for youth. The NECC provided 10 weeks of summer day camp for 126 youth. The NECC also provided After School Time for 30 during the school year with activities, snacks and engagement
The NECC features a year-round indoor warm water pool maintained at a temperature comfortable for children, seniors, and participants with mobility challenges. The NECC offered swim lessons for all ages, following the Red Cross curriculum with the goal of reducing incidents of drowning. During the same period the NECC offered adult lap swim and exercise classes, including water fitness, arthritis exercise, senior exercise and deepwater workout. In 2023 the Jump Start Swim Progam had 74 participants and continued to provide swim lessons for underserved populations.
