Program areas at North Shore Workers Community Fund New Lynn Coalition
Lynn Community enrichment program (lcep): New Lynn Coalition partnered with Lynn public schools to offer a wide range of skill-based courses through lcep. These courses enrolled many Community members who gathered valuable skills; enabling the to secure employment and improve their economic prospects.
Successful campaigns for social change: we spearheaded several impactful campaigns, including those focused on affordable housing, racial justice, and unarmed Community safety. Highlights include the annual may day march, which featured speakers on labor rights, food insecurity, education, and housing affordability. We also organized voter forums to foster civic engagement and educate the Community on pressing issues.
Grocery delivery program expansion: our grocery delivery program saw significant growth this year; now serving up to 750 families monthly. This was made possible with $700,000 of in-kind food aid support from my brothers table, Inc.; greatly bolstering food security in the Lynn, ma Community.
