Influencing policy program: staff/volunteers performed legislative & non legislative activities including research, education, lobbying, and policy development. Published weekly e-newsletter for decision-makers. Worked with various coalitions of environmental groups to develop strategy and advocate on key environmental issues. Educated and engaged citizens and members on key environmental policies. Long term objective is to pass sound environmental legislation and strong environmental protections for nc.

Accountability & political program: nclcv staff and members engage in efforts to hold nc legislators accountable for environmental decisions; publish approximately 3000 legislative scorecards; engage Voters in the democratic process; engage over 25,000 online activists; work to elect pro-conservation candidates for legisaltive office; inform members of endorsements.

Information & education program: publish weekely e-newsletters for 5,470 members regarding nc and national envrionmental issues; host annual events highlighting environmental champions; public education on environmental issues (research, media outreach, reports, polling); capacity building; publish e-newsletter for legislators; member services. Engage members and volunteers on key state and federal policy issues.
