Program areas at NJ Leep
NJ Leep serves students in grades 6-12, alumni throughout the country, and familymembers. Most of our students come from low to moderate-income backgrounds andpossess multiple risk factors to college matriculation and persistence. Since ourfirst graduating class of 2011, 100% of our program graduates have graduated fromhigh school and enrolled in college, many in highly selective colleges, such asamherst, georgetown, princeton, rutgers, smith and the university of chicago. Incomparison, research shows that since 2011, the high school graduation rate fromstudents in newark public schools is 68%. We also measure the college persistencerate of our graduates: over 85% are presently enrolled in or graduated from college.
