Gun Violence prevention events and workshops New Mexicans To Prevent Gun Violence provide Gun Violence prevention worhshops, where youth can reflect how Gun Violence affects their lives and discover tools To minimize the negative impact and keep them safe from harm. In addition, nmpgv trains agencies and individuals on the extreme risk protection order (erpo). The training aims To increase awareness of the law, it's distinction from a domestic Violence order of protection, how it is implemented, and the potential benefits of using erpo.
Mural projects murals To end Gun Violence is a collaboration between students, professional artists and New Mexicans To Prevent Gun Violence. All murals are designed and executed by students. Creating Gun Violence prevention murals in our schools and communities give youths an opportunity To voice their hopes and concerns through art. The murals are an effective way To raise social awareness about Gun Violence, as hundreds of students and adults pass by the murals daily.
Guns To garden the guns To gardens project guns To gardens is our grssroots Gun buyback program that gets unwanted guns off the streets and out of homes before transforming them into gardening tools and art. We partner with law enforcement To host Gun buybacks throughout New mexico. To date, we have held 13 Gun buy backs throughout New mexico. The guns are dismantled on site and given To rawtools who transforms them into gardening tools and brazilian artist trago rene torres da silva transforms them in art.
