Using A volunteer generation grant through the dept. State, held virtual volunteer conference and fair for students to encourage increases in civic engagement and volunteerism that solves public issues and develops 21st century skills. Developed A New engage NJ resource called the student opportunities for service database. Developed the thrivers database of skilled civic leaders. All donated services are not included. Grant cycle (october - september) is different from filing cycle.
Using an americorps grant for the changebuilders program, continued the statewide higher ed program that builds students 21st century skills for life and work through working on projects in teams in community settings under the guidance of an americorps member that staffs each changebuilders program on campuses across the state. All donated services are not included. Grant cycle (september - august) is different from filing cycle.
To ensure the proper safety protocols for our online and in-person volunteers additional safety measures had to be taken in order to safe guard our volunteers against the coronavirus. New equipment, technology orientations and ppe safety protections were provided to the students and volunteers in order to comply with safety protocols.
Funds for the american rescue plan grant supports the program and administrative operations of the americorps program. It also provides the americorps members support costs for their living expenses. Donated services received and used during the year of $24,973 are not included in the above program expense.
