Research library - assisting members and non-members in genealogical research. The library contains 250,000 volumes of books and 28 million manuscript items. The digital library and archive contains an additional 750,000 items.

Publications - producing books, journals, and magazines in furtherance of the society's purpose. Nehgs continues t0 advance its position as the scholarly leader in the field. In 2018 we published seventeen new books, four issues of a scholarly journal, four issues of our popular magazine, and 52 issues of our electronic newletter.
