Program areas at New Direction For Broken Families
In the year 2022 New directions successfully serviced and worked with over 88 adults and 95 children, and adolescents assisting them inside of their homes and directly in the community through our several programs, several of which focus directly on servicing those with mental health diagnosis such as bipolar, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and attentiondeficit hyperactivity disorder, etc. Many of these individuals were at risk of being removed from their current homes due to their mental health and behavioral issues and needed services for stabilization. Successful discharge meant that they were no longer in need of services from a mental health provider such as ours and were ableto maintain their health in their home environment without risk of removal.
We assisted 75 individuals (teenagers and adults) by linking them with substanceabuse counseling and substance abuse groups to help them to deal with theirsubstance abuse needs
This year we assisted over 84 individuals and familes to avoid homelessness by linking them with resources in the community, introducing them to housing vendors and roomin houses who could take thenm in temporarily. Providing then with temporary placement and provide the essential items such as toiletries, socks, underwear, etc.
This year we successfully assisted over 39 Families who were having financialproblems with paying bills such as light bills and utilities and we providedworkshops on budgeting and financial literacy awareness to over 125 participants.
