Program areas at NNADV

NCEDSV advocates for the prevention and elimination of domestic and sexual violence by providing information to direct and indirect service providers that assist victims and their families throughout Nevada as well as providing a micro-loan program for victims and facilitating grassroots involvement in public policy. NCEDSV has program member organizations that it supports with informational resources, technical advisory services, and educational opportunities for staff, board members, and volunteers. Each year, NCEDSV hosts a conference that brings together service providers, social service agencies, health care providers, governmental offices, and experts in the fields of domestic and sexual violence to discuss emerging issues and best practices. NCEDSV promotes awareness campaigns for specific issues involving domestic and sexual violence such as teen dating violence, elder abuse, assault against persons with disabilities, stalking, and human traficking.
NCEDSV secures federal, state, and private grants that are distributed to shelters and direct service providers to assist victims of domestic and sexual violence with emergency housing, shelter, counseling services, and other resources.
