Health disparities - collaborative research, development and implementation of new or evidence-based initiatives to address Cancer prevention, early detection, and survivorship specific to populations that were inequitably affected by covid-19 and health disparities due to both social and biological determinants of health. Includes quantitative and qualitative research, and initiatives designed to educate and increase access to resources and health services across Nevada.
Cancer control program - development and implementation of evidence-based initiatives to reduce the risk of developing Cancer and increase the early detection for breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancers in Nevada's communities. These initiatives provide community education and outreach, and the provision of healthcare provider education and resources.
Human papillomavirus (hpv) development and implementation of evidence-based initiatives to increase uptake of the hpv vaccine and reduce the burden of cervical and head and neck cancers.
