Program areas at Neuroimmune Foundation

Physician education put into place a brand new, comprehensive educational model in collaboration with project echo with accredited cme designed to equip physicians to evaluate and treat Children, youth, and adults with psychiatric symptoms due to an underlying Neuroimmune condition (pans, pandas, encephalitis, etc). The cme program features one-hour weekly meetings featuring short didactics by 8 world-renowned expert physicians from leading university programs followed by case presentations. Detailed treatment and diagnosis guides to support physicians as well as free continuing medical education, and free access to expert consultation panel reached over 10,000 physicians in the united states and abroad. Continued sustained outreach to 150+ residency programs in the us with free accredited continuing medical education. We have now educated 6500+ clinicians in 70+ countries around the world with accredited cme - 90% of them completely free of charge in an effort to improve patient outcomes. Expenses included accreditation, marketing, platform fees, honorarium, printing, and a robust outreach.
Funded a biostatistician at harvard to complete work on arfid related to pans.
Offered free support and high quality education to 30k + patients and families. Connected 2000+ patients/families with clinicians and grew our network of clinicians who can support patients/families. Family support programs included running a private group for 6500 patients and families, providing moderation and support in that group, responding to emails to assist with finding physicians, providing educational webinars with therapists and physicians. Costs included platform fees, honorarium, materials.
