Founded in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association, Nextup partners with national and local organizations to deliver hands-on leadership opportunities, networking, and learning programs dedicated to advancing all Women. In 2022, we evolved our identity to embrace a new generation of diverse leaders, and to future-proof our mission of advancing all Women in business for many years to come. Our name changed, but that mission remains our north star. What makes Nextup different? Our powerful partnerships with 100+ leading companies and our 21 regions. Together, we represent an unmatched Network of Women and their allies unified by our mission.our proven learning approach is based (continued on schedule o)on the 70/20/10 adult learning model developed by the center for creative leadership, which emphasizes learning by doing (70%) as well as learning through others (20%) and formal learning (10%). The goal of our mission is to provide impact by improving leadership capacity and supporting a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace for all Women. Nextup's programs seek to open minds through our cohort- based learning model, build leadership capacity to transform workplace cultures, and create leadership opportunities through volunteer programming in our regional communities.in 2022, our program service accomplishments resulted in over 81 learning events and programs and approximately 17k registrations. The facets of our program include the following: a) rising stars, our premier development program building leadership capabilities through self-awareness; b) soar, a program targeted to director and senior director level members that helps boost careers and elevate Executive skills; and c) beyond allies which is open to all leaders including our male allies. This program focuses on workplace challenges and building emotional intelligence in the workplace.finally, each year the culmination of our programming experiences for our members, volunteers, and corporate partners is our national events. During this program year, we held our first in-person events since 2020 and hosted 1662 participants. Our events provide authentic experiences where current leaders participate in motivating leadership sessions from industry giants, vital networking connections, and empowering lessons that that help advance our mission to advance all Women in the workplace.
