Their programs delivered from their headquarters in Oakland, California, as well as globally through their 300+ chapters connect their members to the skills, experiences and people that will allow them to have the greatest impact. Thought leadership: through publications, content, events, and more, Good Institute serves as thought partner across various social and environmental issues. Initiatives with partners such as meier, gordon and betty moore, leaps by bayer, and more aim to empower socially responsible organizations and individuals to address important issues, drive social action and reimagine the possibilities for our shared future. Good Institute, its platforms and programs reach more than 100+k people annually.
The organization is home to net impact, a global community of 300+ campus and professional chapters. Net impact educates and connects emerging leaders around the globe to drive social and environmental change throughout their education and careers. Chapters host approximately 4,000 networking, educational, and community service events and projects annually, many of which are open to the public. Net impact's chapters do not meet the definition of local chapters or affiliates for part vi, question 10a on form 990 as the organization does not have financial or programmatic oversight of local chapters.
Student programs & chapter engagement: Good Institute develops and hosts programs and leadership development opportunities for the net impact community and many others around the world. Programs engage thousands of undergraduate and graduatestudents, as well as professionals, on a variety of topicsincluding climate action, corporate sustainability, civic engagement, and more, aimed to develop and activate empowered members of the global workforce who leverage their skills and careers to drive transformational change for people and planet. ~86+% of participants report they gained knowledge/skills/connections for career goals, ~75+% reported feeling better equipped to make change. The net impact global community is comprised of 300+ campus and professional chapters.
