Home ownership programs - these programs include homebuyer education training which during 2020 and 2021 were offered primarily through online platforms, via ehome america, youth financial literacy and marketing outreachpre-purchase program - Neighborworks Western Pennsylvania is a certified hud-approved Housing counseling agency, a chartered member of Neighborworks america, an approved agency for the Pennsylvania Housing finance agencys (phfa) comprehensive Housing counseling initiative, and an adopter of the national industry standards for homeownership eductaion and counseling.our team of experienced Housing counselors and educators adhere to thepost-purchase program - if you are having trouble paying your mortgage, we offer default and delinquency coaching and pre-foreclosure mitigation to existing homeowners to help you maintain your most valuable asset. We also host periodic post-purchase workshops. Financial wellness capabilities (adult and youth) - financial wellness for adults provide customers with the skills and knowledge necessary to make sound financial decisions, build personal wealth, and pursue financial goals, including homeownership. Workshops are offered at our homeownership center in the uptown Neighborhood of pittsburgh and in community-based locations throughout Western Pennsylvania. Financial wellness workshops for youth are provided in partnership with state-approved high school education facilities throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Neighborworks association of Pennsylvania (nwap) - the Neighborworks association of Pennsylvania (nwap) is a collaborative of eight Neighborworks america organizations doing business in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is hosted by Neighborworks Western Pennsylvania (nwwpa). Nwap serves as the trade association and as the advocacy voicefor its members and constituents.
LOAN PROGRAM - Loan program - In FY2021 NWWPA partnered with Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Berks (NHSGB), the Pennsylvania Lending Collaborative Inc. (PHLC) and the NeighborWorks Association of Pennsylvania to build and successfully launch a new lending partnership in the western Pennsylvania markets. The program focuses predominantly on making down payment and closing cost second mortgage loans to first time, low-moderate income buyers. NWWPA works to market the program and create local partnerships to best connect with communities throughout western Pennsylvania and NHSGB/PHLC originate, underwrite, fund and service the loans. NWWPA continues the servicing of the remaining four loans from its previous portfolio
