Program areas at Neighborhood Service Organization
Life choices provides support and a central access point for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their extended families. The life choices staff also advocate on behalf of individuals, secure resources and provide intermittent lifelong support services so individuals may live as independently as possible.
Homeless recovery services to homeless adults, supportive services to formerly homeless adults, and crisis services for people in need. Specifically, the detroit healthy housing center, one of the homeless recovery services locations, provides mental health Service, education, crisis intervention and referral services for indivduals who are homeless or disenfranchised.
Older adult services (oas) is a nationally recognized mental health program for wayne and oakland county residents and adult nursing home residents age 18 and over. This is the oldest and largest mental health and aging program in the state. The mission of oas is to provide mental health outreach, residential and advocacy services and help adults reach their maximum potential and remain active community participants.
Includes transactions with nso bell housing master tenant to operate a low income residential housing project. Also includes transactions related to clinics and behavioral health services.
