For this fiscal year, nhs provided 10,068 mortgage assistance, 2,314 counseling and financial literacy education to households and assisted clients in avoiding foreclosure through home retention/disposition options. Nhs originated 11 affordable loans for families, provided reinvestment in local neighborhoods and hosted educational workshops and participated in neighborhood-based events. Through direct events contact, media, direct mail and advertising, nhs engaged many volunteers.
