Csci: the comprehensive School Climate inventory (csci) is a nationallyrecognized School Climate survey that provides an indepth profile of your School community's particular strengths and needs. With the csci, you can quickly and accurately assess student, parent, and School personnel perceptions, and get the detailed information you need to make informed decisions for lasting improvement. In 2018, we administered the csci to 289 schools, reaching more than 248,000 students, parents and staff across 23 states and internationally in south africa and bermuda. One data to action workshop was delivered in Connecticut at Connecticut technical education and career system and two data presentations were presented in rhinebeck, ny.

Educational program: pde since the spring of 2016, nscc has worked with the Pennsylvania state department of education's (pde) office for safe schools on a multi-year initiative to increase the capacity of pa educators to lead School Climate improvement efforts. The scli is designed to help schools complement or expand on their existing efforts so that they achieve equitable outcomes and increase student achievement. To create a strong infrastructure for improvement, pa intermediate units selected School Climate regional coordinators (scrcs) to participate in nscc's leadership certification program, which provides coaching to build scrc capacity as they support demonstration schools within their region to implement effective School Climate strategies. Nsccs influence on state offered trainings and supports:pde is creating a unified online platform that support School Climate improvement and aligns other commonwealth initiatives with School Climate improvement work. Research program services: special olympics-2: 12/1/2017-12/31/2018, $101,506. Nscc continues its collaboration with special olympics unified champion schools through an 18 month research project that builds on findings from our previous collaboration to identify socially inclusive districts and examine the relationship between social inclusion and School Climate. This phase of the is continuing collaboration with special olympics has two main objectives: 1) improve the applicability, reliability, and validity of the current set of measurement tools that assess social inclusion; and 2) demonstrate the effectiveness of these resources in School districts, with a particular focus on the needs of urban networks. In addition, special olympics renewed a new contract in the amount of $166,872 and covers the period of 1/1/2019-9/30/2020.
