Program areas at NRA

Food safety training and other educational programs include ServSafe, which is the industry standard for training employees in safe food handling. During 2018, NRA tested 735,676 foodservice managers in ServSafe programs and issued a total of 574,536 certifications.

Annual Trade Show: The 2018 National Restaurant Association Show attracted 65,105 attendees from all over the United States and 117 different countries, covering 715,108 square feet, representing 2,486 manufacturers and suppliers from across the foodservice industry.

Government Relations and Communications: The NRA monitors both Federal and State government and legislation for changes in their policies as they relate to the restaurant industry. Depending on the specific issue, the NRA, along with the State Restaurant Associations, develops an appropriate position and response to the specific issue and works with government agencies/organizations to achieve the best possible outcome for the industry. The NRA maintains and distributes publications on various matters that affect the industry.
