Program areas at NQAPIA
Areas of work- capacity building we provide capacity building support, resources, and connections to a wide and growing network of small, mostly volunteer-run local, grassroots, and affinity-based lgbtq+api groups across the country, and lgbtq+api change-makers. This includes fiscal sponsorships, technical assistance, policy education, organizational and leadership development programs; access to peer and mentoring networks; and funding.- policy advocacy we advance an intersectional equity and justice agenda for all lgbtq+ asians and Pacific islanders, and all the communities we call home. We do so through outreach and and education; issue-based campaigns; a wide range of partnerships and coalitions; and impact litigation.- representation we provide and advocate for more inclusive representation of lgbtq+api people and our perspectives everywhere, and especially in research and the development of resources reports and directories; presentations, panels, and other educational activities; and facilitating outreach for and the culturally-competent production of research and resources.
