Increase awareness about the devastating effects of Alcoholism and Drug Dependence on the individual, the family, and the community. Ncadd provides the opportunity for recovery through information, education, and support. Ncadd's vision is to strengthen families and communities through direct assistance, referrals, education, prevention and public advocacy. Program areas at National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of the Central MS A

Ncadd provides education and prevention programs for schools, community centers, businesses, individuals, families and faith-based organizations in hinds, copiah, lincoln, warren, rankin, claiborne and madison counties. They offer information and referral services to individuals and or family members seeking help with alcohol, tobacco and other Drug dependencies in addition to maternity and infant care. Ncadd maintains A well-stocked bookstore and library of materials on all 12-step recovery programs. Ncadd also serves as an additional resource for children, youth, adults, families and organizations in need of their services. In 2021, ncadd provided education and prevention programs in 8 schools, 10 organizations, 5 colleges/universities and community colleges and 12 faith based institutions serving approximately 61,000 individuals. Over 400 referrals and 8 assessments were made to treatment programs and other 12- step programs.
