Program areas at NCUIH
Training and technical assistance that includes comprehensive public Health programs, training and guidance to 41 uios throughout the country. Providing customized and culturally sound capacity building & knowledge tools is essential to foster and trigger changes necessary for combating Health disparities for the Urban ai/an community. Last year, more than 450 hours of training and technical assistance was provided to the Urban ai/an community.

Outreach and education for policymakers and the general public on the changes needed to combat Health disparities among the Urban ai/an community. Ncuih provides testimony and witnesses at house and senate hearings to represent Urban ai/an healthcare priorities and attends more than 150 advisory, federal agency and other meetings to advocate for Urban ai/an each year. Last year, through ncuih's outreach and education for policymakers, more than $100m in additional funding was allocated to support healthcare to the Urban Indian population.
