In FY2023 the National Capital Poison Center provided telephone consultations for 37,742 human poison emergencies, 956 pet poisonings, and 7,351 medical or poison-related inquiries from the DC metro area. Other services include online guidance for poison emergencies, through webPOISONCONTROL, an online tool and downloadable app that provides help for acute, unintentional poison exposures - the most common type of call to Poison Control. In FY2023, webPOISONCONTROL provided fully automated help for 125,177 poison exposures. See Schedule O for continuation
