Education- The annual Clinical Symposia serves the profession with well over 150 educational opportunities targeted to athletic trainers based on their domain of practice. These opportunities include sessions, posters, learning labs and workshops as well as an opportunity to see and learn about new products and services available to the profession. In addition, more than 350 live and on-demand webinars are available year-round via our professional development center. Publications including a monthly magazine addressing issues facing athletic trainers, a quarterly technical journal containing research study findings, a quarterly legal digest tracking legal and legislative issues in the athletic training field as well as weekly newsletters covering the latest updates and resources for the profession. Provided approximately $400k to the NATA Research & Education Foundation to support athletic trainers in research and scholarships.
Membership-Supports the membership of approximately 45,000 in the areas of recruitment, retention and preferred provider relations.
Advocacy-Provided approximately $1M in grants and assistance to educational institutions and state athletic training associations and just over $1M to other organizations for partnerships, governance and public recognition in order to advance the athletic training profession.
