The National Arts Club stimulates, fosters, and promotes interest in the arts and educates the American people in the fine arts. At the beginning of the 20th century, the art/literary critic of The New York Times, Charles Dekay, played a key role in establishing a national arts club. The club hosts 15 arts and education program committees which sponsor one or more club programs designed to stimulate, foster, and promote public interest in the arts and educate the American people in the fine arts.
