Nanticoke Watershed Alliance

The Nanticoke Watershed Alliance completed a successful year of outreach and restoration in 2022. Major accomplishments were achieved in the following areas: 1) monitored 35 sites with 45 volunteers through the Nanticoke creek watchers citizen water monitoring program, 2) planted over 8 pollinator meadows on 2 poultry farms to improve water quality and habitat, 3) held online over 4 workshops for homeowners on managing their properties in environmentally sensitive ways, 4) installed 6 residential storm water best management practices to help improve habitat along the Nanticoke river and fishing bays.
