Oc warmline -the oc warmline is a free and confidential telephone service providing emotional support and resources to Orange County residents, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you, a family member, or a loved one are experiencing mental health concerns, substance abuse, loneliness or are in need of community resources, the oc warmline is for you!
Nami by your side - Nami would pair trained peer support mentors with caloptima health members to provide tailored, social support and resource navigation beginning during a hospital inpatient stay or emergency room visit and lasting up to six months post-discharge, based on members' needs. Specifically, peer support mentors would facilitate members in scheduling and attending follow-up primary care physician (pcp) or other physician appointments (especially post-discharge), connect the member to their enhanced case management provider (or make a referral to one), help members build their social support network including family members (including training), and connect members to other social and behavioral support services.the overall program goals include: (1) facilitate behavioral health transitions from hospital to home/community; (2) support behavioral health integration through peer facilitating member connection to ecm. (3) improve caloptima health's hedis fum1 measure; and (4) ultimately, reduce readmissions at psychiatric hospital through family and resource connection.

Families family- to- family family-to-family (f2f) is a no-cost, 12-week educational program for loved ones of those living with a mental health condition to improve their coping and problem-solving abilities. Basics basics is a no-cost, 6-week education program for parents and family of children and teens who are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition or who have a diagnosis to learn the facts about mental health conditions. Family support group family support groups are peer-led support groups for family members, caregivers and loved ones of individuals living with a mental health condition. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar circumstances. Peers peer- to- peer peer-to-peer (p2p) is a no-cost, 10-week educational program for adults (18+) with a mental health condition who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery. P2p is taught by a trained team of people who have experience living with a mental health condition. The program includes presentations, discussion, and interactive exercises. Connection recovery support group connection recovery support group is a no-cost support group for adults living with a mental health condition. These groups are led by nami-trained facilitators with lived experience. Connection recovery support groups are unique because they follow a structured model to ensure that all group participants have an opportunity to be heard. The groups meet on a bi-weekly, weekly or monthly basis. Peer connector the peer connector program matches a person with a trained mentor, with lived experience, that can either be a family member or individual for 12 weeks of one-on-one connection. Day-to day situations drive weekly discussions with mentors. The peer connector program is designed to provide participants with individualized support, education, and skill-building knowledge that helps participants strengthen relationships community-base with their families, increase cooperation, and understand how to navigate the services. Teens & young adults Nami on campus college (ncc) Nami on campus college (ncc) clubs are student-led clubs that tackle mental health issues on campus by engaging the students through support, advocacy, promoting of services, and educating the campus community. The clubs aim to address the mental health concerns of students on campus to promote a positive and supportive college experience. Nami on campus high school (nchs) Nami on campus high school (nchs) clubs are student-led clubs that raise mental health awareness and reduce stigma on campus through peer-led activities and education. All students are welcome to join - those with their own mental health experiences, those with family members with a condition, or students interested in mental health advocacy. Ending the silence ending the silence is an engaging presentation that helps audience members learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental illness. Three presentations are offered: one for middle school through high school aged students, one for school staff and one for parents. Media masterclass our media masterclass is a course designed to give teens and young adults (ages 16 - 24) an opportunity to learn the basics of podcasting, building an online brand, and using their social platforms to spread positive messages about mental wellness. Providers & crisis responders provider education provider education is a no-cost, 15-hour program of in-service training taught by a team of an adult with mental illness, a family member, and a mental health professional. Nami provider education introduces mental health professionals to the unique perspectives of individuals living with a mental health condition and their families. Participants will learn to develop enhanced empathy for their daily challenges and recognize the importance of working through these challenges during the treatment process. Nami connects Nami connects provides empathetic listening, information through local resources, and promotes positive attitudes towards engagement of mental health services through shared experience with mental illness. Nami connects offers an additional level of support in inpatient, hospital settings to patients and family members affected by mental illness. Nami connects staff includes individuals and family members of those affected by mental illness, and the staff works directly with hospital staff to help people in need. Mental health first aid mental health first aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. Adult mental health first aid gives community members the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to individuals in-crisis or in-need of support, while connecting them to the appropriate care. Voices a unique opportunity to engage with an eye-opening consumer panel that highlights the lived experiences of individuals on their mental health journey. Gain increased understanding from individuals, families, and community members as they present their day-to-day experiences with mental health, dispel common mental health condition myths, and answer any questions you may have. This is an hour long candid presentation from a persons' perspective on how they navigated a serious mental health crisis with the help of first responders.community: in our own voice in our own voice presentations change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people with mental health conditions. These no-cost, 40-, 60- or 90-minute presentations provide a personal perspective of mental illness, as presenters with lived experience share their stories. Our trained presenters humanize the misunderstood, highly stigmatized topic of mental illness by showing that it is possible, and common, to live well with a mental health condition. Knowledge forums knowledge forums are one-time educational presentations on topics including but not limited to: mental health conditions, early warning signs, stress management, bullying, social media, cultural sensitivity, and available resources. Presentations are held on a year-round basis and are offered at no-cost. Knowledge forums encourage community engagement with important issues that impact the community and empower attendees through gained knowledge. C.a.r.e together knowledge forums our c.a.r.e. Together knowledge forum series focuses on cultural awareness and promotes inclusivity through shared experience, while reducing mental health stigma. Join us for panel discussions on allyship, cultural & social awareness and mental health. Nami nights join us for a monthly family friendly event! Miniature golf, zumba classes, holiday events and much more fun for all ages. Faithnet faithnet strives to encourage welcoming, caring congregations and promote the vital role of faith and spirituality in the recovery journeys of many who live with mental health conditions. Creative artists' guild bringing their artistic capabilities, peers join together to create beautiful treasures. These treasures are sold at art shows all year long.
