Providing resources for individuals experiencing mental illness and their families and friends as follows : one-on-one peer support; consumer support group meetings twice a week; family and friends support group meetings twice a month; family-to-family 12 week program; monthly education forum; teaching self-advocacy for consumers and families to work more effectively within the mental health and social services systems; peer education on diagnosis, symptoms, treatment options, medications, coping skills, maintaining wellness and recovery; meet & greet presentations; fighting stigma through education and advocacy; lending library of over 300 current books, cds & dvds; computer & printer available for use; and volunteer activities that break isolation and encourage personal growth.
Providing small one time grants to individuals experiencing mental illness for clothing and temporary shelter, computer equipment, transportation assistance and wellness support.
