Research: The NACDS Foundation provides funding for projects that advance its mission to improve the health and wellness of those living in the U.S. through medication management and related interventions. Through grantmaking, it seeks to improve the health and welfare of patients. The NACDS Foundation funded 8 research grants in 2019.
Education: The NACDS Foundation provides important scholarship contributions to Pharmacy Schools throughout the United States. 48 U.S. based pharmacy schools were awarded support in 2019. The pharmacy school awards are designated for the school's scholarship funds for students.The Foundation also offers education programs and resources for pharmacists, pharmacy schools, pharmacy students and the general public on public health issues.
Programs Staffing: The supported organization - National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Inc., provides staff to the taxpayer to administer the taxpayer's charitable giving, scholarship awards, research, and other programs. The taxpayer reimburses the supported organization for the cost of this staff time under the terms of a services agreement.
