Our First 5 program serves families in our community from birth to age 5. In 2022, we served approximately 27 families in our case management program along with another 351 individuals receiving support services. The First 5 program is funded by the Commission on Children and Families of Kern County in order to support the healthy development of children during the critical early years.

Services include rental assistance, utility assistance, and market gift vouchers for food. In 2022, we served approximately 396 individuals through this program. It is funded through a federal FEMA grant via United Way of Kern County.
Our Southwest Healthcare District Client Services Program serves all other residents of our community that do not have children ages 0-5, including families with teens, veterans, single adults, and seniors. Some of the services provided include referrals to county services, utility and rental assistance, an emergency food pantry, and providing hygiene/PPE items.
