Program areas at Mount Ararat Discovery Foundation
May of 2022, in Agri, Turkey, MADF co-hosted with the Institute of Archaeology at Andrews University which also financially sponsored a scientific Conference on the archaeology of the Mt. Ararat region. The purpose of the conference was to bring scholars, government officials and locals together to discuss possible archaeological research in the region of Agri mountain.
MADF and Andrews University co-hosted a conference at the Georgia Technical University in Tiblisi Georgia in December 2022. The purpose of the conference was to bring scholars, government officials and locals together to discuss possible archaeological research in the region of Agri Dagi mountain.
Fundings were to provide for a May climb which was cancelled due to the permit was not approved in time. The climb was re-scheduled to July, but the July climb was also cancelled. In October-November, a climb took place, but did not arrive at the target area due to the shut-down from the military activities in the region.
