Program areas at MOPS International
Ministry areas -Membership: MOPS International Membership provides resources for mothers of preschoolers. Moms receive encouragement through a weekly email and a number of other resources. The MOPS Magazine is the primary benefit of the MOPS Membership program. MOPS hopes to continue retaining members as well as reaching new mom members. Our goal is that the growth of the membership program will continue to further God's kingdom. Membership registrations during FY23 reached 48,988, showing a small amount of growth over FY22. Groups continued to slowly start back up after being closed due to the pandemic.Charter Renewals: Renewals are highly important to our programmatic offering as they enable a group to continue meeting and offering the support, encouragement and leadership development that our moms need. We estimate that 73% of groups eligible to renew did so in 2022/2023. This accounts for 1,947 groups. This does not include groups that did not have to renew because their charter date was after November 30, 2022.New and Additional Groups: MOPS International started 451 new MOPS groups and 99 additional groups from April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023. This program is one of the most dynamic offerings that MOPS has in that it creates a community for support, encouragement, leadership development and spiritual maturity for any mom of preschool age children. Since July 2013, churches can add additional groups such as MOMSnext or Teen for $99 each. During FY23, Mama Meetups were continued as an online opportunity for moms to continue meeting together. Mama Meetups are offered at no cost.Ministry efforts also include support from MOPS volunteer and paid staff, publishing and the MOPS Store.
Events - Leadership Training:An annual international convention is held for the purpose of training and encouraging MOPS leaders and volunteers.
