Montana-41 local projects were completed by more than 135 volunteers during our 8th year of Homeward Bound. Comprising an estimated 5000 hours of volunteer service.-Partnered with other local businesses and nonprofits to provide time and funds for making holiday food baskets for 100 families in need.-Provided funds to the county ministerial association to assist individuals and families locally with short term and emergency needs.-Provided 30 backpacks and school supplies to students and teachers in need through our Backpack to School program.Philippines-Typhoon Odette hit hard on the island of Bohol in January. M.O.M. was able to help by providing clothing, blankets, emergency food relief, clean water, and electric charging stations for months while the island's infrastructure was repaired.-The school lunch program provides the entire school with healthy lunches and employs five local women to manage the program and cook for the children.-Provided medical care to critically ill children and adults.-Financially supported a local missionary.-The Family Christian Fellowship celebrated their 18th year with a Thanksgiving celebration for the entire community. The church has undergone a major renovation to replace the roof and make more room for the growing congregation! They have worked with a new church in a neighboring area, providing encouragement and support to the growing church. FCF is also working with another new church plant in the barrio of Ballilihan, an area we have been working in for the past 10 years, by helping to build homes and offering support to the disabled in the community.-Native language Bibles were provided to Bible study small groups.Kenya-A pipeline was constructed from an existing well to a school 2.5 km away. The pipeline has livestock troughs and fetching taps along the way and at the end of the pipeline where the school is located. The pipeline will supply clean water to an additional 1000 people and the Ilpoori school. -A building with two additional classrooms, latrines, handwashing stations, bookshelves, teacher and student desks were built and school supplies, P.E. equipment and curriculum were supplied for a small village school. Further plans are being made to partner with the school and parents to establish a school lunch program and make this tiny school in an isolated area a model school where the village children can get started with a great education.-More than 25,000 people now have access to clean water every day and 8 schools now have clean water onsite. We continue to survey additional communities that do not have access to clean water as well as clean and maintain the existing boreholes and protected spring water projects.-In 2022 we focused on routine borehole maintenance such as cleaning and flushing the storage tanks, repair of older troughs and tap stands, and replacement of two solar pumps and controller boxes.-MOM continues to show the love of Jesus and to share the Gospel through Bible distribution; both written native language Bibles and audio native language Bibles, the Jesus Film, and digital resource distribution, as well as working with local churches.Romania and Ukraine -Provided emergency food deliveries to people in areas destroyed by bombing inside the Ukraine.-Provided funding for food and necessities to a refugee center in Romania which is housing and assisting refugees with finding more permanent solutions.
