Montana Association of School Business Officials

MASBO provided a forum for it's members to more efficiently provide services and education efforts to the schools they work for. MASBO provided workshops and a summer conference training which provided members with information training and the opportunity to network about issues and laws affecting their public school districts. MASBO maintains a website with links to resources and training materials and publishes a monthly newsletter. MASBO provides on-going technical assistance to it's members on an as-needed basis via email and telephone.

MASBO employs an Interim Services Trainer who provides on-site services and training to school districts that request help in their business office. Such help may involve fillings in during clerk vacancies by performing basic duties annual financial reporting and budgeting during the new clerk search and training the newly hired clerk on-site. Interim services may also serve to assist a district in situations where the work in the business office has been neglected incorrect or incomplete to degree that additional help is needed to bring the financial records back into compliance with state and federal regulations and deadlines.
