Program areas at MN Adoption
MN Adopt's zero kids waiting program provides recruitment services to identify adoptive families for children under state guardianship. MN Adopt mananges the Minnesota state Adoption exchange, an online Resource that connects prospective families to Minnesota children who need to be adopted. During fiscal year 2022, this program had more than 57,000 contacts where information and referral were provided, and 180 children registered on the state Adoption exchange were placed with adoptive families.mn Adopt help porgram provides post-adoption clinical support, education and Resource linkage assistance to Minnesota families. Community members receive consultation and resources to help them support adoptive, foster and kinship families. During fiscal year 2022 the help program provided services to 300 families and 260 community members and professionals. The help post Adoption navigator program, which servces Minnesota families who have adopted from foster care, had contact with 4,998 families and professionals where informaiton and referral were providedfostering Network provides information, support and referral to current licensed foster parents and those seeking to learn about the foster care process. The unique feature of this program is an online inquiry platform that connects prospective foster families with minneosta foster licensing agencies. During fiscal year 2022 fostering Network had 7,950 contacts where information and referral were provided.the post search program provides information and referral to adopted persons, birth families and adoptive families who need records or have questions about the search process. During fiscal year 2022 post search services were provided to 321 individualsmn Adopt's education program provides workshops on attachment, trauma, transracial Adoption, parenting, and other topics relevant for foster adoptive and kinship families. During fiscal year 2022 the education program provided education to 17,390 parents and professionals.
