Program areas at Mississippi Delta Community College Development Foundation
Student support and scholarships: scholarships are granted per various scholarship guidelines administered by the organization in conjunction with applicable departments and programs at Mississippi Delta Community College. For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Foundation provided scholarships to qualifying students at Mississippi Delta Community College. In addition, the Foundation's book loan program assisted students by loaning books and learning materials to those who met certain qualifications. Furthermore, the mdcc Foundation provides financial assistance to students who might otherwise not be able to continue their education because of emergency situations or unforseen circumstances.
College promotions: funds were provided to support the recruiting programs of the College in an effort to increase the size of the student body by funding events that showcase the many opportunities for enhancing careers available at the College.
College athletics: funds were provided to support the various athletic programs of the College in an effort to provide a first class experience for deserving student athletes, both academically and athletically. Funds were allocated for student awards, supplies, facilities and equipment across various sports.
Alumni support: funded support for alumni activities and events including meetings and reunions. Instructional support: funds were provided to enrich and support the College's instructional efforts.
