Mississippi Blood Services (mbs) collected 57,445 units of red Blood cells and apheresis platelets from volunteer donors.mbs distributed 65,684 Blood products to area/regional hospitals used for patient transfusion.the organization donated $15,050 to various non-profit organizations.the following Services and goods were provided free of charge to the community:- 572 therapeutic phlebotomies- 221 Blood pressure and iron level checks- 14 participants ackerman high school health science and sports medicine class - toured collections, lab, mobile coach and collections training area.- 7 participants ummc school of health-related professions & clinical laboratory science senior class - Blood center operational overview with emphasis on donor screening and examination, Blood collection, Blood processing, testing, product modifications, patient testing, labeling, distribution, tour of a mobile coach, and overview of inventory management- 10 computers, 2 servers, 8 printers, 1 monitor, 5 ups, 1 speaker, 1 storage device - jackson state university- 12 welch allyns - but god ministries- 4 welch allyns - merit central- 4 welch allyns - grace phlebotomy academy- 4 welch allyns - forest vo tech- 1 welch allyn - forest high school- 1 welch allyn - forest middle school- 1 welch allyn - forest elementary school- 22 welch allyns - baptist health system- immucor workstation - hinds community college
