Program areas at Missions Resource Network
Initiate: Missions Resource Network (mrn) prepares and cares for workers who serve muslim, hindu and buddhist background people groups. During 2022, initiatives were held in bengal, the mediterranean rim, and the atlantic bridge area (south africa and ruanda). Mrn's emerging leadership initiative (eli) is held in four sites - south africa and botswana, the phillipines, st petersburg, russia, and accra, ghana. In 2022, 50 leaders in 20 countries were coached or mentored during 261 sessions. A total of 545 or more individuals have attended leadership training events this year. See also sch. O
Missionary care: mrn strives to keep cross-cultural workers effective and whole through providing appropriate care and equipping churches to care for the cross-cultural workers they support. During 2022, over 1,000 families were being served in some capacity with care resources. 398 hours of direct care were provided to over 155 families. 12 families in mrn initiatives were being coached regularly.
Empower - mrn connects and equips existing ministries and churches where the church is established, in order to expand their impact by providing re-visioning, training, networking, coaching, and care. Church equipping - mrn developed and published a paper on relaunching short-term Missions well: "short-term Missions guidelines" (stmg). In 2022 mrn conducted Missions leaders lunches with presentations on "a fresh look at short-term Missions," based on stmg, these were conducted in 6 cities serving over 80 churches. In addition, 19 churches were equipped with training events and ongoing coaching. 27 blog articles were written and published, these have been viewed well over 10,000 times. See sch. O
