Program areas at Uplift Northwest
The temporary staffing social enterprise provides employment opportunities for individuals as a pathway towards achieving their work goals. In 2022, 714 men and women connected with a temporary job in a network of 236 employers throughout the greater seattle area. This resulted in 193,757 hours of temporary work and training, earning Millionair Club's clients $4.2 million in wages. In addition, 341 were elevated into permanent or long term employment.
Client services includes all the job readiness support services. In 2022, 446 job training certificates were earned. 875 new men and women received job placement and 109 individuals were housed. 32,317 support services including eye clinic, community meals, worker clothing, hygiense products, showers and over 1,800 hours of computer and internet access.
The "kasota" is a lease for 47 single-room-occupancy units by the organization to provide workers who are homeless access to scarce affordable housing in downtown seattle. Housing allows our clients to concentrate on achieving employment goals while living in affordable housing.
