Black american engineering scholarship award $128,629 - a national program designed to increase the representation of black students in the engineering field by providing targeted financial assistance, mentorship, and career development support. In partnership with pasco county, the Foundation funded the installation of five mobility mats at public parks and beaches, including moon lake park, anclote river park, robert k. rees memorial park, and robert j. strickland memorial park. In pinellas county, the Foundation funded the installationof a 372-foot mobility mat at sand key beach, one of the most frequently visited beaches in the tampa bay area. These ada-compliant mobi-mats create accessible pathways across sandy terrain for individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers. This initiative reflects the Foundation's committment to promoting inclusion and improving accessibility in outdoor public spaces.
Pitiful paws rescue $51,380 - located in chesapeake, oh, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs.
