Program areas at Miami Arts Commission
Miami Arts Commission partnered with Miami Genesis to run the KiddieLand arts, crafts and play activities for Miami Fiesta. At Miami's Fiesta Kiddie Land where we also provided volunteers and a Piñata full of candy and crazy cool objects.
MAC added an executive director this year with a generous grant from the Arizona Community Foundation. We recieved a grant for 25000 which we re-granted 12,500 to Art 145 in Superior, and the other half we put in our bank account to hire our first Executive Director. The money we recieved in November and is carrying over to pay for the first 6 months of our Executive Director position.
Miami Arts Commission produced our 11th Miami Loco Arts Festival, the first one after the pandemic break. We counted it a success. We were awarded a 7500 grant from United Fund , 1000 from H.O.M.E., and 500 from the Town of Miami. We spent 5000 on the artists, and the rest on advertising, banners, t-shirts, miscellaneous supplies, and water.
