Metropolitan DC Chapter The Links Incorporated empowers communities of color through its programs. It provides scholarships to eight students at various HBCUs including Howard University, Virginia State University, Spelman College, Tuskegee University, Benedit University, Lincoln University and Winston-Salem University. The chapter also partners with local schools to engage students in the Young Writers Contest where they pen unique prose based on a thematic topic. Over 15 students receive monetary awards, laptops and books through this program.
